오아시스의 열렬한 팬은 아니기에 노엘과 리암 형제가 싸우고 오아시스가 해체되는 것에 대해서 별 관심이 없었다.
내게 노엘 갤러거는 음악인의 이미지보다 맨체스터시티를 응원하는 축구 팬의 이미지가 더 크다.

리암을 필두로 하고 있는 비디아이도 별로 안 좋아하고,
오아시스의 음악도 그리 좋아하지는 않지만
이번에 나온 노엘 갤러거의 솔로 앨범은 무척이나 좋아한다.

앨범 전체가 좋지만, 특히 그 중에서도 'Everybody's On The Run'이 좋다.
첫 트랙부터 작정을 한 느낌이다.
자기가 좋아하는 음악을 했고, 사람들은 그 음악을 좋아해줄 것이라는 노엘이 인터뷰에서 말한 그 자신감이 첫 곡에서부터 느껴진다.
전주에 흐르는 현악 편곡을 비롯해서 웅장한 곡 분위기와 가사에 맞게 전진하는 이미지를 가진 사운드가 좋았다.
첫 트랙이 너무 좋아서 다음 트랙으로 넘어가는 게 아쉬울 정도였다.

개인적인 소망이라면 맨시티 팬들이 응원가로 'Everybody's On The Run'을 부르는 것을 보고 싶다.
맨시티 팬이라는 이유만으로도 좋아하는 노엘이었는데, 이번 솔로 앨범 덕분에 더 좋아지게 될 것 같다.
